Dato’ Mukhriz Tun Mahathir, Deputy Minister of International Trade & Industry is scheduled to officiate Global Entrepreneurship Week 2009 campaign for northern corridor at Dewan Budaya, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), this Thursday, 19 NOV 2009.

Global Entrepreneurship Week 2009, co-founded by Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation in the United States and Make Your Mark in the United Kingdom will see nearly 10,000 activities organized by thousands of partners from at least 88 countries, including at least 500 activites towards promoting entrepreneurship in Malaysia – which put Malaysia on #3 spot in the world, or top-most in Asia in term or number of activities pledged.

Endorses include President Barack Obama via in person video speech by US Secretary of State, Hillary Rodham Clinton, and various business and government personalities around the world. In Malaysia, Dato’ Saifuddin Abdullah, Deputy Minister of Higher Education is the patron since 2008, and has rallied educational institutions to participate in this campaign. Saifuddin has remarked on pushing towards creation of Entrepreneurship Unit in his ministry.

Interested entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial aspirants are welcome to join this event, free for all students, and limited to two free participants for each organization – private or government.
